Approval of minutes from October 23rd. Evanna motions to approve. Motion seconded. Minutes approved by acclamation.
Guest Speaker Presentation —
Guest Speaker: Lynne Vanahill and Sean WettlauferLynne Vanahill, Director of International Support Services, and Shawn Wettlaufer, Senior International Advisor
- Lynne and Shawn present on the roles and services of International Support Services (ISS) including operations, services, regulatory/compliance support, and overall student support:
- Immigration documentation, visa support, and duration of status
- Orientation and transition support
- Reporting requirements and health insurance compliance
- Enrollment and student employment
- Programming and Engagement – social activities
Reports—
Student Senate Report
- The National Bone Marrow Donor Program came and spoke to Student Senate. A couple of senators volunteered to donate in case the community may be in need.
- Student Senate carried out an internal food drive.
- Have 23K left in Wed night fund and 50K left in Community Development Fund.
- Student Senate passed amendments that have been discussed in SenEx previously regarding the Student Senate Constitution, the replacement elections process, and the way Student Senate does turnover for some advisory boards.
- Voted on suggestions by General Counsel.
Staff Senate Report
Marissa Marshall supplied an e-mail report that was sent out with the agenda:
Staff Senate leadership met with Provost in October to visit about initiatives Staff Senate is working in collaboration with AIRE: such as Docking Institute Survey and Great Colleges to Work For. Also discussed budget cuts, Jayhawks Elevate challenges, and amendments to the Staff Senate Code.
University Senate Report
There has been discussion regarding how to best represent faculty across all campuses.

A question arose regarding UAKU contract negotiations, but there was limited insight at the current time as to where the negotiations stand.
