Faculty Senate Report

•    Sam reported the only update he had since the last meeting was that they attended a Provost meeting. 
•    Working on Core 34 letter. We will focus on Public Speaking and Writing that has been siloed. We will present feedback and letters on Core 34.
•    Josh and Sam will meet with the Chancellor on November 8. 
 

University Senate Report

•    Josh said KBOR’s intent with CORE 34 was to help transfer students, but for business-school students, it made things more difficult. If the School does not make changes, we would see a drop in double majors and minors. 
•    At the next University Senate meeting we will have Program Discontinuances. 
•    There have been some changes to membership in the CODE to add graduate students.

•    The Calendar Committee proposed to change the Fall 2025 academic calendar to make the fall break in the middle of the semester. They are trying to finish this in the next few days. 
Sam Brody announced that we were unlikely to get quorum. Brendan Mattingly motioned to adjourn the meeting since we did not have quorum. Josh Arpin seconded the motion. The motion passed. The meeting adjourned.
