Approval of Previous Minutes —
Meeting minutes from November 28 were distributed before the meeting with the agenda. Hearing no corrections, Victor Gonzalez approved the minutes.

Faculty Senate Report
Reporter: Victor Gonzalez (Faculty Senate President)
Leaders have been taking part in the School Strategic meetings. Last week they attended meetings at Architecture and Design and KU Med at the Edwards Campus. This has been useful to learn what is going on in the schools. Victor met with Amy Mendenall in Faculty Affairs to discuss the survey on absences policy. Victor shared information about the KBOR award with Amy. Tomorrow, the KBOR faculty senate presidents will meet and finalize the award. Then, we will get nominations by the end of the semester. The main goal is to have good representation and data to support the decision. For the next faculty senate, we hope to have approved guidelines. Faculty Affairs may circulate the information to get nominations. KBOR will give the awards in August. The guidelines will be easy so the selection will be quick.
University Senate Report
There is no report. Kristin Villa has resigned, and she is no longer serving in this role.
New Business —
Josh Arpin made a motion to move to closed session to discuss the University Senate vacancy. Approved by acclimation.
