Recommendations to Improve Staff Job Satisfaction will be Shared at Forum

Sent on behalf of Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Barbara A. Bichelmeyer, Staff Senate President Chris Wallace and Assistant Vice Provost Jeff Chasen

Dear colleagues,

We want to sincerely thank those of you who participated in the engagement sessions or submitted feedback online at the end of the spring semester and early this summer to review the Docking Institute Survey results on employee satisfaction for UPS and USS employees. AIRE and Staff Senate gathered all of your feedback and conveyed your insights to the Docking Institute Advisory Team which continued to advance this project over the summer. The team has been hard at work drafting action step recommendations in these areas:

  • Compensation & Benefits,
  • Culture, Inclusion & Retention,
  • Nature of Work, and
  • Leadership, Appreciation & Recognition.

Please join us for a hybrid public forum, open to all Lawrence and Edwards staff, during which Staff Senate leaders will present the recommendations to improve staff job satisfaction at KU. The Provost will address next steps and implementation.
