January '24 Updates from University Governance

Brrr, it’s been a cold start to the semester! Business is still getting going here in University Governance, but we want to tell you about the guest speakers we will be hosting at upcoming meetings and some new features you can find on the Governance website.

History & Future of Governance at KU

We have recently updated our website with historical information about University Senate and the ongoing efforts around restoring and supporting shared governance at KU. Read about the formation and changes of representative bodies at KU up through the University Senate reorganization of last Spring and see the long list of prior governance leaders. Looking forward, you can find all of our activity surrounding shared governance in one spot, which includes an updated summary of the 2022-2023 Advisory Group’s work and a recommendation tracker for following ongoing progress.
