Dear Colleagues,

Last spring, all six of the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) schools worked together to conduct a survey on their campuses with support from their administrative leaders. This is the first time that KU has participated in this survey and the first time that staff satisfaction has been assessed since the COVID-19 pandemic. Going forward, university leaders are committed to surveying staff regularly.

At KU, the survey was sent to 3,105 Unclassified Professional Staff and University Support Staff employees with a response rate of 54%. We thank all of you who participated, especially because we received very valuable information. Accordingly, the Staff Senate has appointed an Advisory Committee to begin turning the data into actionable recommendations.

To provide all interested staff with the opportunity to contribute directly to the recommendations, we are launching a series of forums to share the results and collect additional feedback. The main purpose of these engagement sessions is to create dialogue that elicits your ideas around solutions.
