New Business —

Journalism submitted revisions to its P&T documents, which the committee reviewed during the meeting. The revisions were approved, with Finneman abstaining due to conflict of interest, with the following notes:

  1. Submissions to SPPT going forward must be a marked-up version. Finneman had the marked-up versions, but this isn't what was sent to the committee. Journalism has been notified of this for the future.
  2. SPPT wanted an addition to the teaching section: (including BUT NOT LIMITED TO classroom instruction, advising and mentoring, curriculum development, and community‑engaged learning and teaching)
  3. On page 8 discussing the research and teaching statements, there needs to be hyphens in community-engaged. 

  As members were unclear what we were supposed to be considering with the other document sent to us, this was tabled for the next meeting. Finneman emailed Journalism with the notes and voting action, with instructions to reach out to Suzanne for info on how to get the final version in the policy library.
