Committee’s questions.
Q. Do members see anything in this presentation that would get pushback from the Faculty Senate?
Response. This is taking something out of the USRR and putting it into a KU Policy.
Q. Who comprises the committees who do these reviews? Due to different academic areas, such as medical or other, it would be difficult with the breadth of knowledge needed.
Response. It takes training in the process to do a good job, as well as knowledge of the scholar community. The rules require us to find experts, but we need to avoid conflict, which is another benefit of One KU, which would give a larger pool of experts.
Q. Where are the records kept and for how long?
Response. The records are electronic. We use SharePoint now for sharing records. We are required to keep records for seven years.
Celka asked for permission to include PowerPoint in the Final Report and with the meeting minutes, which are posted on the website. Natalie Holick gave permission to include the PowerPoint presentation in the minutes and Final Report.
Meeting adjourned.
