Discussion of possible charges

General vs Specific: General is good – allows flexibility, can be more broadly applied, we focus on details 

Support for orientation, reach out to student groups as well? Need student input

• Look through Green New Deal research that’s been done to discuss at next meeting
• Cameron supports idea of committee as a space/forum for staff, students and faculty to communicate and education
• Outreach in the form of surveys? Staff and student input? Get feedback as to what’s important to them
• Survey/Forum has support
• Subcommittees? Ex: Survey subcommittee, Orientation subcommittee
• Move toward being a STARS reporting university again

Discussed AASHE & STARS reporting – committee could support KU rejoining this, but costs money ($2525ish), and is a long, intensive process; focus on data collection, Johnson County Community College has one of best rankings for CC in US, Our peer institutions report as well
