Thank you and outgoing letter from University Senate President Josh Arpin

As the academic year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your engagement, dedication, and partnership in advancing shared governance at the University of Kansas. Your thoughtful input, advocacy, and collaboration have been vital in helping us pursue and achieve our mission and objectives this year.

I am deeply proud of the work we’ve accomplished together, and I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know so many incredible faculty, staff, and students across campus — many of whom I wouldn’t have encountered in my business school role. Engaging with these diverse groups has broadened my perspective and deepened my commitment to the success of our entire KU community.

Shared governance thrives when a campus comes together with a common purpose, and this year has been a reminder of what we can achieve when we listen, learn, and lead together. Thank you again for all you do to make KU a stronger, more inclusive, and forward-thinking institution.
