New Business —

Academic Program Discontinuance Hearings: 

The committee reviews the following program requests for discontinuance: 

  • BS in Applied Biological Sciences
  • Undergraduate Certificate in Deaf Studies & Social Justice
  • Undergraduate Certificate in Slavic and Eurasian Languages
  • Undergraduate Certificate in African & African Diasporic Languages
  • Undergraduate Certificate in Child Welfare
  • Undergraduate Certificate in Data Science
  • Undergraduate Certificate in Intelligence & National Security Studies

There weren’t attendees from the respective units and weren’t objections to the discontinuances as they all had a teach-out plan if students were affected. 

All of the units were voted to be discontinued by the AP&P committee by acclamation. No objections. 

These will go onto University Senate and Provost for review. 

Next discontinuance hearing for remaining programs is  September 23, 2025
