Annual Survey of the Ombuds Office | FY2024

Dear KU Community,

Each year a survey is sent out to the KU community regarding the services of the Ombuds Office. This provides valuable information for the Ombuds Office, Governance, and the Provost’s Office on the functioning and benefits of the Ombuds Office. We welcome your feedback.

This survey is for all students, staff and faculty of the Lawrence and Edwards campuses. Your feedback helps us make sure the University Ombuds Office is fulfilling its mission to provide confidential, informal, and impartial space to all members of the university community and support fair and equitable treatment of all. Detailed information about the Ombuds’ responsibilities is available on the Ombuds website.

Please click on the survey link below and complete this brief survey by April 26th, 2024.

Ombuds Office Survey

During the academic year under review, July 1st, 2023, through the current semester, the University Ombuds Office professional staff consisted of University Ombuds Ada Emmett and Associate Ombuds Mike Rozinsky and Herschenia Brown.

All survey responses are confidential. The Provost’s Office manages the survey data, sharing the results and de-identified comments with both the Ombuds Office and Governance leadership. The Ombuds Office then uses the results of that survey to inform its Annual Report which it shares with the Provost and Chancellor. Governance leadership uses the survey data to inform its annual assessment of the Ombuds Office’s work, sharing its final annual assessment with the Provost and Chancellor along with any recommendations it has.

If you have any technical problems with the survey, please contact the Governance office, govern@ku.edu.

Thank you,

Josh Arpin, University Senate President-Elect
